PROJECT PLANNING GUIDE
Storm-Damaged Trees: Safe Next Steps
Storm damage can leave trees and limbs unstable. A photograph cannot establish that a tree is safe, and an online estimate should never delay emergency help.
Before you request an estimate
- Keep people and pets away from fallen trees, hanging limbs, cracked trunks, and damaged structures.
- Treat all downed or damaged electrical lines as energized. Do not touch a tree, fence, vehicle, or water near a line.
- For injury, fire, downed wires, or immediate danger, call 911 and your utility first.
- From a safe location, record the property address, the affected area, visible structures, and access constraints.
- Call the tree service to ask about current availability; a request form is not emergency dispatch.
